Job Summary
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and architecture for a growing global data warehouse environment.
- Build and optimize ETL processes that transform complex data from multiple sources into trusted, actionable business information.
- Establish data governance standards, policies, and best practices to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
- Lead the design of flexible data solutions that support reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and enterprise decision-making.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data architecture solutions.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to support platform enhancements, system upgrades, and large-scale data initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by introducing modern analytics methodologies and business intelligence strategies.
- Analyze and profile data to identify anomalies, improve quality, and strengthen confidence in reporting.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to support business operations, reporting needs, and regulatory audit requirements.
- Create technical and functional specifications for new data solutions and enhancements.
- Work closely with QA and cross-functional stakeholders to support validation, compliance, and governance activities.
- Help define the future direction of enterprise data architecture while enabling teams across the organization to make better, faster, data-driven decisions.
Qualifications and need-to-know
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, or Data Mining.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
- Experience with Power BI and ETL tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Advanced SQL development and database design skills.
- Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale data warehouses and analytics solutions.
- Experience with Oracle OLTP and OLAP environments preferred.
- Experience working in a life sciences or other regulated environment preferred.
