What to expect from your summer internship –
As an intern in our Bioanalytical team, you will gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
• Sample preparation and protein analysis by SDS-PAGE and Western Blot
• Coagulation factors activity monitoring by Chromogenic assay and Clotting assay
• Detection and quantification of protein analytes by ELISA
• Buffer preparation and record keeping
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined, interns can expect to develop a range of valuable skills during their summer internship. These include:
• Laboratory Techniques: Gain hands-on experience with various biochemistry assays such as SDS-PGE, Western Blot, Clotting Assay, Chromogenic Assay, ELISA, use of equipment e.g. pH and conductivity meters, automated analyser.
• Analytical Skills: Enhance your ability to analyse and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in your results
• Attention to Detail: Develop meticulous documentation skills by maintaining accurate records of your experiments
• Problem-Solving: Improve your problem-solving abilities by troubleshooting experimental procedures and addressing any issues that arise during your tasks

To be eligible for our summer internship, candidates must –
• be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program within a Life Science discipline. This includes, but is not limited to, fields such Biological Sciences, , Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biosciences and Forensic Science
• be available for the entire 8-week internship, which starts on Monday, July 7th 2025
• have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application
