Kedrion Biopharma is offering an exciting opportunity for one intern to join our Technical Engineering team in Elstree, Hertfordshire, within a Reliability Engineering placement.

 

This internship offers practical exposure to a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment, where you will work alongside experienced engineers, develop valuable technical and problem‑solving skills, and gain insight into how reliability engineering supports safe and efficient operations. You will contribute to real engineering activities, collaborate with colleagues across departments, and see how engineering principles are applied in a regulated industrial setting.

What to expect -

 

  • Gain hands-on experience in understanding and developing an engineering maintenance plan for an identified equipment asset
  • Learn to comprehend the rationale behind maintenance plans, whether they are time-based, or hours-run based
  • Understand the reasoning for spare parts inventory, considering factors like availability, cost, and warehouse space
  • Review the original equipment manufacturer's suggested maintenance plan 
  • Recognise the constraints that production plans impose on implementing a maintenance plan 
  • Study existing maintenance plans to understand how they are scheduled, completed, and signed off 
  • Design and present a maintenance plan for a specific engineering asset 
  • Hands-on experience in understanding and developing engineering maintenance plans 

 To be eligible for our summer internship, candidates must –

 

  • be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program within an engineering discipline. This includes, but is not limited to, fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, and industrial engineering.
  • be available for the entire internship, which starts on Monday, 22nd June 2026 and the last day will be Friday 28th August 2026.
  • have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application
