Job Summary
Kedrion Biopharma UK is looking for a Bioprocessing Scientist to join our Manufacturing Science Development team in Elstree. This is an excellent opportunity for a Life Sciences graduate with practical laboratory experience, or an early-career scientist looking to take the next step within the biopharmaceutical industry.
You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of scientific projects, developing your technical knowledge while working with biopharmaceutical products derived from human blood plasma. These products are used in treatments for immunodeficiencies, coagulation disorders and critical care.

What you'll do
- Demonstrate competency across a broad range of bioprocessing techniques.
- Perform experimental work that progresses agreed Manufacturing Science Development (R&D) projects.
- Review and analyse experimental results and recommend next steps or optimisations.
- Communicate information clearly and logically through technical reports and presentations to the wider Manufacturing Science Development team.
- Support the maintenance of laboratory resources.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of key equipment.Manage stocks of key reagents and solutions.
- Contribute to scientific projects that develop technical knowledge and experience within bioprocessing.
- Work as part of a collaborative Manufacturing Science Development team.
Qualifications and need-to-know
- Degree in Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biosciences or a related discipline.
- Practical laboratory training gained through your degree and/or scientific projects.
- Knowledge of protein purification and an understanding of proteins.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages.Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive and organised approach with the ability to deliver work to deadlines.
- Technical potential and willingness to develop within the role.
