Job Summary

Drive business impact at the intersection of contracts, sales, and operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Commercial Contracts Specialist to support our Corporate Accounts team and broader Commercial organization. Based in our Fort Lee, NJ office, this temp-to-hire role serves as a key liaison between Sales, Legal, Finance, Commercial BI, and external stakeholders to help move contracts efficiently through the negotiation and execution process. In addition, the position provides administrative support to the Office Manager, contributing to a professional and welcoming workplace environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced business setting, managing multiple priorities, and helping teams close deals while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming customer contracts, including NDAs, master service agreements, and other commercial agreements.
  • Support Corporate Accounts leadership and account managers throughout the contract negotiation process.
  • Review contract comments, redlines, and revisions from internal and external stakeholders and coordinate feedback with appropriate business partners.
  • Escalate non-standard terms and higher-risk provisions to Legal and collaborate with Finance and other functions to obtain required approvals.
  • Track contract progress, milestones, and deadlines to prevent delays and support timely deal execution.
  • Partner closely with Legal to support contract lifecycle management processes and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain organized records and repositories of executed contracts and related documentation.
  • Monitor active contracts, renewals, expirations, and contractual obligations using CRM and contract management systems.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports related to contract activity, cycle times, deal status, and associated business risks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline contracting workflows and improve efficiency across the Commercial organization.
  • Assist the Office Manager with day-to-day office operations and administrative activities.
  • Support onsite events, employee engagement initiatives, and community programs.
  • Welcome and assist visitors while helping maintain a professional office experience.
  • Coordinate mailroom activities, deliveries, office supply inventory, and general workplace organization.
  • Help maintain office, cafeteria, and conference room standards to support a productive work environment.

Qualifications and need-to-know

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate, equivalent legal training, or related educational background required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial contracts, sales operations, legal operations, or a related business function.
  • Experience reviewing, redlining, and supporting negotiations of commercial contracts in a corporate or law firm environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial agreement types including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, supply agreements, and distribution agreements.
  • Experience partnering with or supporting Sales organizations preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for reporting and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and contract lifecycle management systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order (P2P) processes and systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain contract-related concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
  • Minimal domestic travel may be required.
