Job Summary
Lead with Purpose. Impact Lives. Drive Rare Disease Awareness. Kedrion Biopharma is seeking a passionate and relationship-driven Rare Disease National Sales Director to join our US Commercial team and lead a team of Rare Disease Specialists.
The National Sales Director is accountable for leading and managing all aspects of the sales function at Kedrion in the respective Rare Disease area with focus on promoting our rare disease portfolio--Coagadex, RYPLAZIM and Koate. This person leads the effort to drive & execute on the sales strategy for current and future products. Additionally, the National Sales Director will be responsible for people management and development within the team.
What you'll do
- Responsible for execution of the rare disease business strategy and brand plans for Kedrion rare disease products. Responsible for nationwide sales achievement.
- Lead a team of Rare Disease Specialists including training, coaching and developing the team to achieve business objectives and exceed sales goals.
- Lead by example and foster a positive high performing team culture, consistently deliver results with integrity, role model compliance and build an environment where people are encouraged to do their best work.
- Lead implementation of the strategic plan by their team at the account level
- Assume a lead role as the primary Kedrion contact for Specialty Pharmacy COEs, specific KOLs and other critical customers or treatment centers, including maintenance for the Kedrion rare disease product portfolio.
- Translate all dimensions of marketing plans and strategies into effective sales opportunities. Allocate regional budgets to support the implementation of marketing programs.
- Make effective day to day decisions required to manage the regional sales function, including deploying resources, allocating costs, directing sales activities, obtaining and analyzing information to identify key issues and commitment to action after weighing alternative solutions.
- Be able, with your team, to see the decision-making process all the way to a conclusion. This will include making sure all vested parties are aligned with the decisions including but not limited to: physicians, nurses, specialty pharmacies, home care, payers, Medicaid, consumers, caregivers, parents, distributors, patient organizations, pharmacists and/or blood blankers.
- Expected to be a clinically adept within the bleeding disorder therapeutic area and able to communicate at a high level across all channels.
- Plans and execute Rare Disease Meetings and on site coaching of sales team members
- Coordinates other Rare Disease activity inclusive of collaboration with Marketing, Medical, Business Intelligence, peer groups and other functions.
- Monitor and Manage expenses against established budget
- Responsible for the assurance of field utilization of the CRM system, customer segmentation, and sales analytics in partnership with Business Intelligence and makes necessary adjustments that drive sales. Track and monitor sales activity and results to enhance the region’s 360 view of the customer.
- Providing regular feedback in a clear and professional manner to the broader Kedrion US Commercial team on feedback from your team, customer feedback, competitor activity, buying patterns, trends within the Rare Disease space, etc.
Qualifications and need-to-know
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

12 plus years of progressive pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience, including 5 plus years of sales leadership strongly preferred.

Rare disease, orphan drug or specialty/biologics sales leadership experience strongly preferred; experience with buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy or infused/injectable products a plus.

Proven track record of delivering sales results and leading organizations to a higher level of performance while ensuring compliance and high ethical standards.

Strong understanding of sales incentive compensation structures, sales operations, field analytics and training.

Strong understanding of US market access dynamics, including payer, specialty pharmacy, and site-of-care environments.
Proven ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders, including clinical and administrative decision-makers.
Demonstrated passion for improving patient outcomes, combined with a competitive drive to exceed goals.

Experience working cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization.

Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required, approximately 50% or more, including regular field visits.
Must reside near a major airport to be able to meet travel requirements.
