Accounting Analyst

Prometic is a fully owned subsidiary of Kedrion Biopharma, based in Laval, Quebec, Canada, devoted to the development of plasma-based therapeutics including a Plasminogen concentrate for the treatment of clinical signs and symptoms associated with Congenital Plasminogen Deficiency Type 1.

 

 

To contribute to this revolutionary and innovative project, we are looking for a passionnate Accounting Analyst for a one-year contract! You will play a key role in managing journal entries, reconciling accounts and analyzing financial perforamcen, directly contributing to the financial health of the company.

 

More precisely, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the general ledger and performing monthly reconciliations.
  • Preparing the month-end file and completing the necessary reconciliations.
  • Analyzing financial variances and expenses.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and management reports.
  • Providing support to accounts payable and preparing GST/QST declarations.
  • Monitoring product cost accounting and managing fixed assets.
  • Preparing intercompany billing and managing the full accounting cycle.
  • Improving internal control procedures.

 

You are the right person for this role because you have:

  • You have at least two (2) years of experience in an accounting role which allowed to see the complete accounting cycle either in a medium or large organization;
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting during which you mastered IFRS;
  • You are very familiar with internal controls and you never hesitate to make suggestions to improve their robustness;
  • You see technology as a key tool to improve efficiency and are therefore very comfortable with ERPs and Excel;
  • You can communicate with different partners in French or in English;
  • You have auditing experience (an asset).

* Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and suppliers in Quebec as necessary.

Other language requirement
