Job Summary
What you'll do
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with mechanical systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime
- Support the installation, setup, and adjustment of new equipment and building systems as part of ongoing engineering and improvement projects
- Partner with Maintenance Technicians II, Senior Technicians, and Team Leads on both routine preventive maintenance and non-routine repair activities
- Execute assigned work orders and complete minor preventive maintenance tasks in alignment with established procedures and schedules
- Conduct regular building and equipment inspections to identify potential issues, safety risks, or repair needs and escalate findings to the Team Leader
- Respond promptly to facility alarms and maintenance calls, assisting with appropriate corrective actions to restore operations
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including drywall repairs and other light building upkeep to maintain a safe, functional environment
- Assist with maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, work performed, and equipment status as needed
- Use basic tools, equipment, and systems to support repairs, replacements, and adjustments across mechanical and facility systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment to support efficient operations
- Follow all established safety procedures, company policies, and cGMP requirements to ensure a compliant and secure workplace
- Proactively learn new skills, tools, and processes to build technical capability and support career progression within maintenance
Qualifications and need-to-know
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one year of mechanical experience or equivalent hands-on training
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems preferred
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including weekends and holidays
