As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead that effort ensuring our utility systems, production equipment, and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with GMP standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with people management. You’ll guide a team of skilled technicians, oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, drive safety excellence, and champion continuous improvement across all operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the maintenance team, providing day-to-day supervision, coaching, and technical guidance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with Kedrion safety protocols, FDA standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all utilities, production equipment, and facilities to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks while maintaining detailed records, logs, and documentation.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis, guiding the team through rapid and effective responses to unplanned equipment issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to align maintenance efforts with production and compliance goals.
- Oversee the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to improve process reliability, track performance, and ensure data accuracy.
- Implement risk management strategies for maintenance activities and capital projects, proactively identifying potential issues and developing mitigation plans.
- Drive continuous improvement, leveraging lessons learned and best practices to enhance equipment performance and reduce costs.
- Conduct shift handovers and team briefings to maintain transparency, continuity, and communication across operations.
- Ensure safe systems of work, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Monitor and report performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in maintenance execution and reliability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and utility systems, including boilers, air compressors, WFI stills, pumps, heat exchangers, agitators, CIP skids, filtration and chromatography systems, centrifuges, and process tanks.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
