Job Description

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for handling the coordination of activities for timely receipt and distribution of materials. Must interface with vendors, production, quality assurance and management in order to ensure service levels.

Main Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound freight, verify accuracy of shipper's and carriers' counts, verify condition of goods received. Notes any discrepancies and brings to the attention of the supervisor. Sorts raw materials according to MFG lot number for Q.A. inspection.                                                      
  • Prepares receiving records for and delivers incoming non-inventory items to proper department and obtains receipt for goods delivered                   
  • Maintains files of delivery receipts for non-inventory items.
  • Delivers inventory items in accordance to procedures, obtain receipts, delivers receipts to different department personnel.
  • Put all inventory items in Rack/Bin locations physically and via barcode scanner
  • Locate and pull inventory items from Rack/Bin location for production physically and via barcode scanner
  • Regulate inventory with control on FIFO and expired materials.
  • Prepares outbound freight, both international and domestic, for shipment.  Includes marking and strapping cases and paperwork preparation.  Picking orders, packaging according to customer request, special marking and delivery if needed

  • Loads outbound freight, both international and domestic. Obtains carriers signatures for outbound goods. Sets up special pickup and delivery at any time requested.
  • Move off-tested finished goods to proper storage areas. Verifies count of finished goods received to off-test document. Reports discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Takes inventory via barcode scanner and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy both raw plasma and paste included.                                              
  • Prepares Bills of Ladings and transportation documents.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years’ related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control, SAP, and experience in an FDA regulated environment a plus.
  • Forklift, Stand-On Reach and Pallet Jack experience preferred.
  • RF Barcode Scanner
  • Knowledge in SAP and data entry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius

Working Conditions

  • Primarily inside with well-lit and well-ventilated areas.

This position may require the labeling, packaging or movement of hazardous (flammable, corrosive, toxic, etc.) waste within the facility. If so, this employee would be trained. In lieu of HAZWOPER training, the employee will receive training on the requirements of the New York State hazardous waste management regulations pursuant to 6 NYCRR §373-3.2. All employees that have received the above-mentioned training upon hire will receive annual refresher training that covers the OSHA HAZWOPER standard and the personnel training requirements of NYSDEC.
